Why are Filters not effective?

Filters are physical porous barriers of various density of different materials, designed to trap and prevent various sizes of airborne contaminates from returning back to the airspace.

Filters does not have any active disinfection effect and therefore can only trap bacteria and airborne particles of specific size within a certain material of various density, resulting in bulky units to accommodate a wider field of capture. Moreover, trapped bacteria and viruses will continue to be active and able to reproduce in the filter, resulting in a breeding haven for pathogens.

Improper handling of contaminated filters can lead to pathogenic micro-organism returning back into the airspace, therefore protective measures and appropriate procedures should be followed at all times.

How does Plascide works

  • Within the Plascide air sanitation chambers, an intense ionized gas field is generated at room temperature propelling the particles into an energetic state.
  • Contaminated air is pulled into the Plascide reactor, flowing through the sanitizing plasma where the intense ionized gas field sterilize pathogenic microbes such as H3N2 influenza, MRSA and neutralize toxic chemicals like formaldehyde, rendering them inactive and harmless.

    The undersigned carried out tests on a germicidal unit claimed to be developed using the special controlled technique applied to the designated conditions and various strength of the four state of matter (Plasma). A series of tests was conducted to verify the disinfection capability of this unit against selected representative microorganisms.
